As we approach the close of 2023, it is with immense joy and gratitude that we share a reflection on the triumphs and cherished moments that have defined this exceptional year for our College. From achieving a coveted QS 4-star rating to fostering cultural diversity and hosting enriching events, 2023 has been a year marked by success, growth, and unity.
QS 4-Star Rating, ACBSP membership, the successful audit from the education and immigration department: Milestones of Excellence
We are delighted to announce the attainments such as a QS 4-star rating, joining ACBSPÂ as members or passing vital recognition from the Swiss Governmental institutions - testaments to our unwavering commitment to academic excellence. These achievements reflect the dedication of our academic community and the high standards we uphold in providing quality education to our students.
A boutique College but growing fast!Â
2023 was not only rich with events, field trips and developments at the college but also in numbers! We are happy to see our fast-growing professional team, same as see how our market moved even further to such countries as Nepal, Vietnam and Bhutan. We are pleased to see that we are the leading college in India region for students to come to Switzerland to study Hospitality or Culinary Arts.
Indoor Developments: Bus, Student Lounge!Â
Yes, growth can be recognised by increased numbers but what a year it was for us! We got a brand-new bus for our field trips and adventures. We also made sure to comfort our students with a fully equipt new ‘Student’s Lounge’! Same as the local Michelin star restaurant we started creating our own herbs garden. Our college training ‘bar’ was reopened not only for students to train for their F&B but also for fun events and gatherings. We can only guess what 2024 will bring to us.
Enriching Events: A Blend of Learning and Fun
Throughout the year, our campus came alive with a diverse array of events that served both educational and recreational purposes. These events not only facilitated the acquisition of knowledge but also provided a platform for students to forge meaningful connections, fostering an environment of camaraderie and mutual understanding.
We were joined this year by 50 students from Europe who learned together the secrets of Hospitality and Tourism Industries taught by our professors. Each semester we made sure that our new students get the opportunity to go through Personal Branding Sessions and personal development programmes.
Moreover, we included events that were vital for building our cultural diversity, sustainability as the direction we go for, and same as teamwork - as the skill that is crucial for students' professional path.
Career Centre Triumphs: Paving the Way for Professional Success
Under the adept leadership of Ms. Celia Deli, our Career Centre has been instrumental in providing invaluable opportunities for our students. From securing internships to welcoming representatives from prestigious Swiss Restaurants for potential collaborations, the Career Centre has played a pivotal role in preparing our students for the dynamic professional landscape.
We did several important recruitment visits, like Frenchman’s Creek Beach and Country Club from Palm Beach Gardens Florida, Asillanis Corner Restaurant, and International Trainee Network (ITN USA). We made sure we travelled around to see how the Internship was going for our students: Vitznauerhof Hotel, Hotel Baenklialp, Rigi Mountain or Post Hotel! And what adventures we had with our field trips such as KKL Luzern or IGEHO. We are looking forward to sharing upcoming trips!Â
Celebrating Cultural Diversity: Holi Festivity
Diversity is a cornerstone of our institution, and this year, we celebrated it with respect. Celebrations such as Independence Day’s of different countries, or such celebrations as Holi brought our community together, creating an atmosphere of inclusivity and mutual respect. These celebrations served as a reminder of the richness that cultural diversity brings to our academic environment.
Cultural and Educational Visit to KKL: Broadening Horizons
The Cultural and Educational Visit to KKL provided our students with a unique opportunity to explore cultural nuances beyond the classroom setting. This experience aimed to broaden their perspectives and foster a deeper understanding of how Hospitality can be seen wider than just work in a restaurant or hotel.
IGEHO Trip: Connecting with Hospitality Pioneers
Our excursion to IGEHO in Basel proved to be a resounding success. Students had the privilege of engaging with some of Switzerland's foremost entrepreneurs, gaining insights into the intricacies of Swiss hospitality. This experience was a bridge between academic theory and real-world application.
Europa Park Excursion: A Day of Fun and Bonding
In the spirit of balance and well-being, a fun-filled trip to Europa Park provided a perfect respite from routine. A day brimming with exciting activities, delectable food, and team bonding we have reinforced the sense of community among our students.
As we bid farewell to 2023, we express our gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this year truly exceptional. Looking ahead to 2024, we embrace the new challenges and opportunities that await us, confident that the spirit of excellence and unity that defined this year will continue to guide us toward even greater heights. Here's to a future filled with continued success, growth, and shared moments of joy!
